ADDITIONAL CIVIL WORKS
Chashma Right Bank Irrigation Canal was constructed to cultivate an area of 606000.00 Acres out of which, 366000.00 Acres in NWFP and 240000 Acres in Punjab. The Project has been completed since December 2003.
The 4th Revised PC-I to the tune of Rs. 17,097.000 million was expired in June 2005, but some essential Additional Civil Works recommended by GRSC/ ADB and clearance of outstanding Liabilities of various contracts at the Project were found necessary.
The Additional Civil Works recommended by GRSC/ADB and clearing the Outstanding Liabilities or various contracts could not carried out during the implementation of 4th Revised PC-I for CRBC Project WAPDA D.I. Khan.
A meeting with mid term Review Mission (ADB) was held in Planning Commission, It was decided that 4th Revised PC-I pertaining in CRBC under Loan No. 1146 Pak(SF) should be closed and a new PC-I for execution of GRSC recommended works and clearing the Outstanding Liabilities of completed contracts to be prepared by WAPDA.
In view of foregoing a new PC-I was prepared and have been approved by ECNEC to the const of Rs. 865.834 million with a foreign component of Rs. 684.409 million.
The works are scattered in different places and were bifurcated in small contracts. Almost all the contracts have been completed.
Revised PC-I amounting to Rs. 1150.000 million was submitted to the P&D Division Islamabad and the same has been recommended by CDWP for approval of ECNEC vide letter No. 10(648)OIA-II/PC/2010 Islamabad, the 15th November, 2011.
