JOB DESCRIPTION OF DIRECTOR (DESIGN & STANDARD)

1. Development, preparation and review/up-gradation of design standards/
    WAPDA specifications of the distribution equipment conforming to IEC, BS &
    ANSI, VDA Standards etc.
2. Technical vetting of bidding documents, notice of awards/letter of
    intents and purchase orders/contract agreements.
3. Type/design testing of products at manufacturer's premises and HV & SC
    test lab RAWAT and RTL Faisalabad.
4. Guidance to Material Inspection Department for resolving technical issues
    arising during testing of the material.
5. To provide technical services & guidance to DISCOs after their feedback
    as per WAPDA specification and International Standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF DIRECTOR (ENGINEERING)

1. Pre-Qualification/Registration/Renewal of Construction Firms in Category B& C.
2. Pre-Qualification/Renewal of Construction Firms for Village Electrification.
3. Monitor & evaluate the need for revision of existing standard and procedure
    for Line Design & determine the need for preparation of new Standards and
    Procedures for Line Design.
4. To provide functional guide lines to DISCOS Engineering Personnel in
    performing Line Design.
5. To issue the Internal Electrification Design of WAPDA Buildings and guide Field
    formations regarding any problem for the electrification work etc.
6. Upgrading/putting in circuit of Grid Stations Capacitors.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF DIRECTOR (DISTRIBUTION PLANNING)

1. Preparation of quarterly Load Data Report of Power Transformers on the
    System.
2. Allotment of Grid Station/Feeder Codes.
3. Preparation of monthly progress report of rehabilitation (ELR) of Feeders in
    term of ongoing works and new works.
4. Providing Technical Assistance to Distribution Companies in preparation of 
    PC-I Pro forma and coordination with the Ministry of Water and Power /
    Energy Wing.
5. Dealing with all other Planning and Distribution matters referred by the High
    Ups.
6. Monitoring of Energy Savings as a result of bifurcation of 11 KV Feeders under
   ELR by DISCOs.
