Village Electrification In Pakistan

At the inception of WAPDA, the number of electrified villages in the country was 609. WAPDA initiated an extensive Rural Electrification Programme with a view to uplift the socio-economic status of people of Pakistan in rural areas who are deprived of basic amenities of life like electricity.
