February 28, 2021: Subsequent to successful completion of the annual , Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Plant (NJHP) resumed electricity generation, as it was synchronized with the National Grid last night.

February 23, 2021: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has planned to rehabilitate 69-year old Rasul Hydel Power Station located at a link between Upper Jhelum and Lower Jhelum Canals near Khokhra Head Works in Mandi Bahauddin District of Punjab Province.

February 18, 2021: National Power Control Center (NPCC) has allowed shut down to NTDC from February 18 to 26, 2021 for maintenance of its 525 KV Rawat and Naukar Transmission Lines during the low flow season to minimize the generation losses. Accordingly taking advantage of this shutdown, NJHP Company also planned annual maintenance of its Power House Complex generating units besides maintenance of water regulation related sensitive mechanical and electrical equipment and instruments at Dam site. As a result the NJHPC Power House will remain off line during this period.

NJHP went into operation in April 2018 and has injected about 11.5 billion units into National Grid.
