Location

The proposed scheme is along 1 km lower stretch of Basho Lungma, a left tributary of Indus River. The confluence of Basho Lungma with Indus River is located about 40 km north-west of Skardu town and 704 km north-east of Islamabad.

Updation of Feasibility Study. Detailed Engineering Design and preparation of Tender Documents.

To design a power house of 28 MW Hydropower Project to produce mean annual hydroelectricity of 135 GWH.

PRESENT STATUS  

. Feasibility study was completed by HPO (WAPDA) in collaboration with GTZ of
  Germany in 2001.

. M/s AfD of France has agreed to finance 100% for updation  of feasibility study and
  selected M/s Sogreah (France) as lead firm with FHC as local JV Partner.

. Contract Agreement between AFD and M/s Sogreah, has been signed in Paris on
  May 28, 2011 and Consultants mobilized by June 2011. 
 

. Consultants have submitted draft feasibility study for review and comments of AFD
  & WAPDA. The report has been circulated to various WAPDA formations for
 comments.
